Selfish, I know, but it keeps me alive

Continuing the epic saga of Annie and Anthonio, Anthonio (apparently here given voice by Sebastian of Heartbreak) has just uploaded the audio of "Annie" to YouTube.

"Annie," which actually works pretty well as a song in its own right, is getting a release, backed with the b-side "Angel Face," featuring Annie. Most importantly, though, Annie's single "Anthonio" comes out May 4 (though you'll want to wait on ordering the single if you play on trying to buy one of the super-limited ones that look like the package Popjustice received).

If you missed it earlier, I recapped the drama here, though I neglected to mention the MySpace messages left to Richard X's label Pleasure Masters.

ah the drama continues :) And i am lapping up every minute of it. Surely some TV scriptwriters will be wanting to take some notes?!

I'm enjoying the drama, along with the 6 other people who plan on buying the single/s.

Hmm...I dig "Anthonio" but is it all a big publicity stunt? I don't get it...

Paul, the world of pop-based soap operas is one that really needs to be developed, I think.

Adem, count me in as one of them!

Mel, basically, though "publicity" might be overstating it since I don't think she and Richard X intend it to actually win the single big sales. I think it's more a matter of stirring up intense pop fans (as opposed to casual pop listeners) into a froth, getting them to really support her--appealing to a small sliver of what she was probably supposed to sell to when she was on a major label deal...catch the interest of the blogging/Internet world. I think to some degree it's her just having fun, too, now that she's out of that major label deal and feels a little more free now (though I had no problem with her being on a major label).
