Did you even know my name? Did you ever really care?

There is only one thing I've been trying to say
It may come as a surprise:
My baby has your eyes

Annie's new Italo-disco cosmic pop single "Anthonio" is out May 4 and will be available digitally internationally.

I think I'll have to! There aren't as many great songs this year as I'd like, but there are too many I like for me to not write about them ;)

It's very "Sally Shapiro" is it not? I like it, just as I do Sally S.

I'm confused with this album. Is it happening, or is it not happening?!? :p

It's "delicate vocals over Italo-disco track," so in that way I see where you're coming from, Yuri.

Paul, well, I'd like to blame it on the complete letdown that was "I Know Ur Girlfriend Hates Me," which was the most disappointing and pointless comeback song of last year for me--I mean, why on Earth would we need a hundred times inferior version of "Chewing Gum"? I understand beating "Chewing Gum" is tough so I would have been OK if that didn't happen and I understand wanting to return to the sound of yours people loved so even mimicking it would have been OK, but to so closely mimic it with a song that is so drastically, drastically inferior...ugh. I think Annie's great and I LOVED much of Don't Stop ("Bad Times" was one of the best songs of 2008), but "I Know Ur Girlfriend Hates Me" is about as likely to get played by me as Britney's "My Baby."

...but I don't think that actually has anything to do with it ;)

Will, I guess she was dropped by/parted ways with Island, her record company, but got to keep the rights to her songs. This new single is coming out on a new label run by Richard X. From what Annie's said, it sounds like she's planning on releasing Don't Stop, albeit with maybe a few tweaks, but who knows when. It is in the "I'll believe it when I see it" category.
