Sono un grande falso mentre fingo l'allegria, sei il gran diffidente mentre fingi simpatia

Clips of Tiziano Ferro's upcoming album Alla mia età (out November 7) are available for listening on Italian iTunes (though you can listen wherever you live) here. If judging albums based on thirty second clips is near impossible, judging non-English language albums on thirty second clips is (for me) even more so. There are hints of the electro he's dabbled with in the past, though nothing as sweeping in that regard as "Stop! Dimentica." I have a feeling I'll be avoiding the English language version of "Indietro," though.

I haven't made up my mind about the video yet. It feels like it should be better than it is, especially given how much I like the concept for it of the room filling with water.

Not being a soccer fan and being an American, it's a little difficult for me to imagine being where a mistake in soccer game can be that devastating; I know it's just an analogy (once could presume for some hot water Tiziano found himself in after some comments), but I go back and forth on whether it's the most effective one possible. I know it's more clichéd, but I wonder if I might have felt its emotional impact more if the scenes surrounding the water-filled room were about a relationship, even if that widened the distance between the lyrics' intent and what the video displayed. That said, it does give the song some added impact as is and I've oddly found myself returning to it, despite its (perceived) flaws.

The new song sounds cool, a bit like ed ero contentissimo which i totally love. anyways not long to go before we can get to buy the new album! there's also a duet with Kelly Rowland... :s anyway also so exciting is the new album by Laura Pausini, released November 14th, can't wait for that either!

I can't wait! And I didn't know that about Laura Pausini's new album--I've got only the shallowest of familiarity with her work. What's her best album, do you think? Or best songs?

here best is definitely her album Resta In Ascolto from 2004. The track I love the most is Come Se Non Fosse Stato Mai Amore (why it never was love between us). It's one of the best things she has ever done. But the whole album is very good. Her latest 2006 release Io Canto isn't that great in my opinion though the title track Io Canto is quite energetic and I love it. Its amazing when performed live I must say.

i wanted to say something profound about analogies, but all i can come up with is screw that, he's hot :P

As someone said on Britannia High tonight "i'm too shallow to breathe deeply". Genius.

Perfect--Amazon MP3 has that album. I'll buy it today. Thanks, Bas!

Paul, but try the music! Well, "Stop! Dimentica" is his best, I think, but I've posted that before. Britannia High needs to run on some channel in the U.S.

Good :) Well let me know what you think of it!
I am starting to like Alla Mia Eta more and more. You are right that the football/scoccer scenes don't do justice to the song. I just popped over to his website and I must say I do not like the cover for the album at all... Though I've never liked his to be honest, except for 111/Centoundici maybe

I'm a little torn, Poster Girl... based on the photo, I'd tap this guy bigtime.

But then watching the video, his forehead bugs me. Oh well, as long as it's being smacked against the headboard, what's the big deal, right?

Thoughts?

Bas, I agree on the cover...it's probably supposed to be all simple and personal and revealing, but it could be much better.

D'luv, my philosophy would be why not? No one has to know and heck, you can put up with it for that long.
