Are you ready?

Do you know what happens tomorrow?

Yes. Finally. EUROVISION!

OK, well, technically, the first of two semifinals, but still! It starts (assuming you don't count the whole national qualifying season as when it starts)! I've been trying very hard to not let Eurovision fever completely overtake this blog...but all bets are off for the next five days. I may start going through some of my favorites tomorrow (what, like I've got anything better to do? I'll need to do something to pass the time until the semifinal starts!), though mine are pretty much ridiculously predictable.

Should you not be lucky enough to live in a country that'll actually run the contest (or if your country isn't showing the semifinal it's not participating in), Eurovision.tv's Media Lounge will be streaming it; for details, go here. If you can't be bothered to watch both of the semifinals, for what it's worth I think the best quality-to-time ratio will come at the very beginning of the second semifinal, with three of the first four songs that night being great.

P.S. "Bad Times" on the Annie album sampler/megamix (starts at 6:49) sounds potentially divine.

You know what REALLY happens tomorrow? Something far, far more important: David versus David on "American Idol"! (Just teasin' ya, PG!) ;-) Sakes alive, this is going to be the longest 48 hours of my life (especially the certain-to-be ridiculously padded two-hour results show)!

So excited about Eurovision, and have begun planning the party I'm having for the Final. They're showing it Sunday night here though, so am thinking I may place myself on an internet embargo until it's screened.

And yes, doesn't "Bad Times" sound INCREDIBLE?!

Ha ha--well, that too, Thnairg! ;) One thing Eurovision does have going for it is how quickly it runs--nineteen songs performed, voting, plus results all in the space of two hours! Sort of the opposite of Idol (which I do love) that way.

Ooo, you're from Bulgaria? Some good choices for your favorites, for sure!

Good luck with your Internet embargo! And with your party (I'll pretend not to be envious ;) ). I can't believe we have to wait until September for the album!

I think making us wait till then is a BIG mistake. Quite a few people already have a large portion of the album from what I've been told and it's only a matter of time before it surfaces illegally. I just do not understand the delay.
