Another year over, a new one just begun

I could probably wait until tomorrow to post these, and I'd have a ready-made post; however, McFly's session in the Live Lounge (today?) was just too lovely to not share as soon as possible. I really haven't written enough about their latest album yet, but it is amazing. Brilliant. The latest single, out this week, is a double A side that features two of the year's best singles for the price of one, "Sorry's Not Good Enough" and "Friday Night" (you can buy it physically here or digitally here). Anyhow, at Jo Whiley's Live Lounge on Radio 1, the boys started out by performing "Sorry's Not Good Enough" and then went on to perform the necessary cover...and they did a beautiful, great job of it, too!

Sorry's Not Good Enough

Happy Christmas (War Is Over)

Now, granted, the backing singers add a lot to "Happy Christmas," but still, a lovely cover!

(By the way, Paul, is that a Wicked hoodie Tom is wearing? As if I needed further reason to like them!)

THUD! Ow, i hurt myself falling off my chair. I totally spaced they were on today even though i reminded everyone a million times. And he's wearing a wicked hoodie which means for the first time ever i want to smooch him. A little bit. Their version is lovely and i think the backing singers add a lot...i shall be linking to your site today!!! In excitement and antiskypation! Hurrah, etc.

(Just a little general note: I deleted some of my earlier comments because I was being really weird about songs...that's why you should never try to do anything involving decisionmaking when you get back ;) )

Anyhow, Paul, I was never worried about you :) It's rather sweet that he's wearing a Wicked hoodie--he's got good taste, then! Great Live Lounge session from them. (Hope your chair wasn't very high up! ;) )

Aw, your poor McFly kids are set to debut below Leona Trashbag and Take That this Sunday. Hopefully they beat out those skanks Girls Aloud, though.

Still don't know why McFly needed to bring out a new single so soon. But surprisingly this christmas their set to chart at no.3, which is considerably better than last yr's effort with Ultraviolet/The Ballad Of Paul K.

Hmm, J'ason, I guess I can take that...I'm so surprised at the longevity of the Take That single near the top of the charts, though!

No. 3? Really? That would be amazing--and so much better than I was expecting! I'm not sure why they felt they had to compete for Christmas #1 either...
