I couldn't agree more. With Keisha gone, it is no longer The Sugababes. The audacity they have to boot out a founding member and then release an album dubbed "Sweet 7" is shameful. They should change the name of the album and the name of the band, as they are no longer the Sugababes. At all.
I'm slightly less depressed about this now, but it really is a big loss; the Sugababes (especially in their Version 2.0 formation) made some of the best songs of the decade. Aaron, I hope we hear at least a few more songs from the album in their Keisha versions.
I've never really taken to the Sugababes, and I have to admit my first reaction to this news was disappointment that Jade didn't get the chance to release her solo material. 'My Man' and 'I Had Him First' are amazing pop songs.

ReplyDeleteLe sigh.
ReplyDeleteYes, it's a shame - Yes, it's disappointing but I suppose - The show must go on, and it's probably a good thing we'll get the new album..
