When I turned sixteen, that's when I started to dream

I'm having computer issues yet again (this time iTunes related--basically, iTunes keeps telling me the files for almost all of the songs [with the exception of songs in the "recently added" list] can't be found even though I haven't moved them [I do keep my music on an external hard drive, and I suspect that's got something to do with it]--all the songs are still where they're supposed to be, so it's not a matter of music loss, just weird pathname stuff, but it means I'll either have to go through all the thousands of songs individually and tell iTunes where each one is located or just re-add the whole library to iTunes, which would mean a loss of playcounts and stuff...unless there's some other option, which is what I want to check out first [and by "check out" I mean "follow the time honored tradition of going to bed and hoping when you wake up the next morning everything's fixed"), so for today, let's just watch a video from my favorite ever American band. Well, they were when they had this lead singer and during this era, anyway.

I haven't written nearly enough about them recently, though my subpar enthusiasm for their latest album (partially as a result of the loss of their lead singer--I didn't want to be one of those "oh, I'll never accept the group after this!" people, especially given that said singer left the band, but that album really made me realize how important Eric's voice was to my love of their music) and how in depth I covered their first album near this blog's beginning probably explains that. Still, Greetings From Imrie House (the UK edition in particular, since it swaps out their cover of "Lies" for their much better cover of "I Think We're Alone Now") remains probably my first or second favorite album of all time.

Ugh. Good luck with the computer drama. BTW, when you said favorite American band, I "clicked" on the video expecting to see Hootie And The Blowfish. WTF?

That's a...cool video!
Hey! Do you know any boyband that sings in portuguese? If you don't do you want to know? I can send you a song of them. Or you can check it @ Youtube. The boyband is called Br'oz.
Just wondering.

Thanks!

And good luck with your computer.

D'luv, Hootie & the Blowfish were supposed to come play at my school once but canceled and were replaced by Bill Cosby--or maybe it was vice-versa? Tell them to add more synths and then we'll talk.

I pretty much love all things boy band, so I'd love to hear a song from them :D

Had almost forgotten about the Click 5 - this is still a great song though! :)

ah the five that clicked. What a wonderful trip down the lane that is memory this friday afternoon to finish off my hideous week from gut wrenching torture hell :) Ps - hope the computer issues are sorted. Mine stopped letting me illegally download tv shows today. I fixed it but not without some choice curses. Tut tut. So many swears.

PPS - i am very amused that there is a boyband called Br'oz. I expect a girlband will be formed to fire back one of those response songs and call themselves H'oz...

It is! I think I heard it on the radio a grand total of once, which may be just as well for my health, given how much I spazzed out while driving on the highway when I heard it ;)

Paul, I'm so sorry to hear about your awful week! :( I'll be hoping you get good news in the future to help make up for it. Argh, computers, and ha ha ha at your girl band idea!

Hey PPG, you probably have this resolved already, but I have that same itunes problem all the time. My music is on external hard drives that I access wirelessly. Not sure if that's your set up, but all I do is reconnect the HD to the network (usually just refreshing it really..via airport) and then double click the song and it comes back. Unfortch, I have to do that to every "!" song (such a pain) but they come back.

That may not have helped at all, but I feel your pain. :)

Thanks for the thoughts! :) There's just no easy way to keep it all organized, it seems sometimes!
