Sweden, I love you. Love you. For so many reasons.
(Note: even if there are some things I could quibble with or that make me somewhat sad.)
Just don't break my heart next week!
More later!

All the right songs went in! I seriously wasnt sure about Caracola/Therese. My heart was on them getting in. I knew they would-alas in my heart. But my head I was not so sure...so yay!!!
They will have to fight for it though. I don't think anyone expected Caracola to beat Patty (as I like to call him). From the genuine reaction of the girls i think even they were shocked.
I don't think a Caracola Vs. Ola will result in a girlband win when it comes to the second chance round but its great exposure for the group-and will actually help their careers/the re-release of the album. It could have been all Cosmo4 again. And we know how that turned out.....
Turning back to the finals...
Remember i said Frida will get it. Frida & BwO. I knew it! I knew she'd be in the finals. There was something about Frida's song that screamed Eurovision....
When I realised Patrik Isaksson was fifth, I had a little party in my head.
Haha.
Very sad that Patrik didn't get through....
BUT.
BWO....
YAAAAAAAYYYYYYY!!!!! So happy for them...oh and tonight I finally realised that I was in love with Martin.
Welll done to Frida featuring Headline too. I didn't really like her before tonight but "Up O Hoppa" is soooo catchy!
Hmmmmm... I think Patrik was cheated out of a place in the final as his song was far more interesting than Caracola or Frida.
BWO didn't even pretend to be remotely serious this time around - their song was fucking hilarious and if you watch the backing dancers, they are even more over the top than Martin and Alexander.
The 2nd entry last night was very hot. I almost could tolerate the song for 3 minutes just to get a chance to look at him.
Robpop, I won't doubt you and your predictions again! I was shocked by that result--but I loved being shocked (even if I feel really sorry for Patrik and really liked his song). I'm so thrilled for Caracola and Therese (yeah, I can't be bothered with the accents anymore--I guess I could just call her Terran)--Therese was in stunning vocal form (well, at least to an untrained ear) and Caracola's performance worked perfectly for me. It had a much bigger feel than I expected from them. Obviously you're the predicter to trust now ;) but I don't think Ola's very much a sure thing...I don't know. What I do know is I hate how two years running now my two favorites in Andra Chansen have to go head to head!
Oh, Bolly, I'm not surprised :) I really liked his song, but one of the things I've loved about these past two weeks is the willingness of Swedish voters to put through relative unknowns (sure, Frida had a hit summer single, but I don't think people expected her to make it past one hit wonder status) with great songs over seeming sure things.
Me too, about--well, Patrik, BWO, and Frida, so basically everything! Yeah, I didn't like her previous hit that much either, but "Upp o Hoppa" is great.
I really would've liked Patrik to have a place in the final (his song was one of those ones where just the sound of the bridge building into the chorus was enough to call an unerasable smile to my face) and I feel really sorry for him--that's one of two things that I'm not completely thrilled about, the other being the Ola vs. Caracola thing...but who would I have kicked out? I don't know! For me, there were five great songs tonight; Sweden chose exactly the right top 5, and from there I really didn't know what I wanted the results to be (well, I knew I wanted BWO in the final for sure--that was probably the entry most important to me). Some of BWO's dance moves tonight cracked me up...and um, yeah, the second singer was (glad I wasn't the only one who had that thought cross their mind), though I wouldn't go that far with the song!
Eskobar and Patrik were clearly the best, original and rocky songs.
They should have gone further.
Caracola had the cheapest song in this semi.
