Everything that she needs

Two brief notes about music I've heard playing while out and about semi-recently:

Back when I was in New York, I heard Blake Lewis's "What'cha Got 2 Lose?" playing outside the Virgin Megastore. I managed to restrain myself from totally flipping out, but it was difficult.

I had less success in restraining my excitement when, for no apparent reason whatsoever, I heard Billie Piper album track "Promises" (one of my favorites on her second album) playing in another (non-New York) store a week or so ago. Why on Earth an American store would play an album track by a British artist who never really had commercial success here, I have no idea, but I got way too excited about it.

Yay for Blake being blasted in NYC! And yay that you are back, PPG!

Woohoo PPG's back! :)

I still secretly hope that Billie will give up on being a 'serious' actress and record a new album one day! Day & Night is still a great pop song!

Plus Transylvania might be my fave McFly song ever - when the will the world realise that they are a really talented group with the songs to back that up!

its always exciting to hear random non appreciated music in a store or out in public. I was uber excited the other week when i heard Simon Curtis in a store. But then i realised it couldn't be, and decided (before the singing started) that it must be Darin's Insanity, which was almost as exciting. But it turned out to be Beware of the Dog by Jamelia. Which despite being quite good was a bit of a let down in the end. Oh well.

Definite yay! Though I wonder if you just have to pay Virgin and that's how they decide who to play...let's hope they just liked the song ;)

Ha ha, me too--or at least do both--even though I know it won't happen. "Day & Night" is still fantastic, you're right! "Transylvania" is such a solid song from them...I live in hope.

Ha ha, oh, Paul, actually hearing Simon Curtis while out and about would have been too much!
